More Swing Time

Arlene Croce states that the link between Astaire and Robinson was Dorothy Fields, the lyricist for Swing Time. Fields wrote the lyrics for several songs from the 1935 film "Hooray for Love" (in which Robinson appeared) - including the title number and "I'm Livin in a Great Big Way". Fields also did the lyrics for Roberta. She was the daughter of vaudevillian Lew Fields who later appeared as himself in The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle - the last of the Astaire/Rogers films for RKO. Just thought you'd want to know!
